Pineapple factory tour!Learn about the components of the pineapple.The history of when pineapples came to Okinawa (seeds were brought to Ishigaki by a ship from Holland), when they were first brought to the main island of Okinawa, how they are grown etc is all presented on illustrated display panels.The very sweet pulp of pineapple is very healthy containing abundant pineapple enzyme and dietary fiber which helps digestion absorption!The refreshing and delicious juice contains abundant vitamins, kalium and dietary fiber (bromelain), and is recommended for health and beauty.The core of pineapple containing abundant dietary fiber becomes delicious with a crispy texture when slowly simmered for a sustained period of time.One of only two machines currently in Okinawa is operated here in this park. Currently it operates 2 or 3 times a week, so you can observe the cutting process of pineapple if the timing is good.Pineapples are carried in whole on a belt conveyor where they are cut out in a form of a cylinder and sliced into approximately 0.6 inch pieces.
